Price per hour, by class
The hourly rate depends first on the size of the aircraft: a bigger cabin flies faster and further, but burns more fuel and needs more crew. These are the bands our desk quotes with this month.

What you are paying for
You pay for block time, from engine start to engine stop, not for distance. Seven calculations sit behind every honest quote.
- 01
Route
Airways, not the straight line on a map.
- 02
Wind
Seasonal winds lengthen or shorten the block time.
- 03
Aircraft
Speed and fuel curve of the exact type.
- 04
Fuel
Burn for the hours and the weight on board.
- 05
Airports
Landing, parking, handling, passenger and security fees.
- 06
Positioning
The empty hours to reach you: from a quarter to almost half of the bill.
- 07
Operators
Who really has an aircraft free on your date.
Why two quotes for the same trip differ
The biggest variable is where the aircraft sleeps. A jet based at Linate flies you to Farnborough and back; a jet based in Geneva first flies empty to Milan. Those positioning hours are part of the price, and they add from a quarter to almost half of the flying time.
Then come airport fees, which depend on the weight of the aircraft and the country, crew rest rules on long days, and the age and cabin of the specific tail number.

How to pay less
- Fly an empty legThe same aircraft, flying a leg it would fly empty anyway. On Milan to London a light jet empty leg starts from €4,100.→
- Choose the smallest comfortable classUnder two hours a light jet is usually enough for up to six travellers.→
- Stay flexible on the hourA window of a few hours lets the desk pick an aircraft already nearby.→
