Who does what
| Who | What they do |
|---|---|
| Operator | Owns or manages the aircraft, employs the crew, holds the air operator certificate and is responsible for the flight. |
| Broker or flight desk | Finds the right aircraft among many operators, compares prices, negotiates, organises the ground and stays with you until landing. |
| You | Choose the route, the time, the passengers and what you need on board, and sign one contract. |
How a charter happens
You describe the trip: route, date, passengers, luggage, anything special. The desk checks which aircraft are free and where they are, prices the options and sends them, usually within the hour, with the aircraft type and its year. You choose, sign and pay; the tail number and the crew are confirmed; the operator files the flight plan; the car takes you to the aircraft.
Charter, jet card, ownership
Charter is pay as you fly: no commitment, the right aircraft for each trip. A jet card or a corporate account fixes hours and rates in advance for frequent flyers. Owning makes sense only with several hundred hours a year.
